Web 2.0 means a more user-friendly and interactive internet.

There does seem to be some criticism and controversy over the apparent lack of technological breakthroughs versus the hype that came with web 2.0. Personally, I agree that web 2.0 did not expand the capabilities of the web too much. It just allowed less advanced users access to technologies that would normally have required a higher degree of technological skill and, in some cases, computer programming knowledge.
